The Free State High and Lawrence High softball squads landed a handful of players on this year’s All-Sunflower League teams.

Lawrence High senior Hannah Somers, along with Free State’s Catherine Smith, Maggie Hull, Livi Abney and Allie Hock, were named to the All-Sunflower League first team. Firebirds Brooke Abney and Alise Kopf received honorable-mention nods.

With winning the Sunflower League title also came recognition for FSHS coach Pam Pine, who was named Coach of the Year.

Somers and Livi Abney were also selected to the Mo-Kan All-Star Softball Series.
