Beginning tonight on "River City Weekly," the show visits Greensburg, where 6News reporter Laura McHugh recently interviewed Lawrence and Douglas County officials and residents assisting in the cleanup efforts in the aftermath of the May 4 tornado.

Teaming with producer and videographer Brian Powell, McHugh last week visited the scene, where she spoke with Lawrence-Douglas County Fire & Medical Division Chief Bill Stark and Lawrence Humane Society Director Midge Grinstead.

McHugh also talked with Stacy Barnes, Lawrence, and her parents, Bob and Ann Dixson, Greensburg, who rode out the storm in their basement.

Then the show takes a look back at the 1903 and 1951 floods as well as the 1911 tornado that struck downtown Lawrence.
