Chamber schedules ribbon-cuttings

The Lawrence Chamber of Commerce announces its upcoming ribbon-cutting events, organized to celebrate changes to and the opening of new buildings, businesses and projects in the community:

¢ First State Bank and Trust, 11:30 a.m. June 7, 608 Vt.; the bank has been remodeled and includes a new drive-through location.

¢ Art Realm, 11:30 a.m. June 15, 4821 W. Sixth St., suite M; the new business features art classes, dance instruction and related offerings.

¢ Bush Consulting Group LLC, 11:30 a.m. June 19, 734 Vt., inside the chamber offices; Bush, former pastor of First Southern Baptist Church and recent candidate for Lawrence City Commission, is starting his own business-consulting firm.

¢ Limerance Coffee House, 11:30 a.m. June 21, 1520 Wakarusa Drive; the former bar now is a coffee shop that includes a high-end art gallery.

The chamber, with 1,200 members, is the community’s largest business organization, working on behalf of members to promote business and community efforts.
