Westar Energy Inc. shareholders re-elected three members of the company’s Board of Directors during the utility’s annual meeting Thursday in Topeka.

Re-elected to serve three year terms were B. Anthony Isaac, president of LodgeWorks, a Wichita-based hotel management and development company; Michael F. Morrissey, a former managing partner of Ernst & Young LLP; and John C. Nettels Jr., a partner in the Overland Park law office of Stinson Morrison Hecker LLP.

Shareholders also ratified the appointment of Deloitte & Touche LLP as Westar’s independent auditor for this year.

Westar, the largest electric utility in Kansas, owns and operates the Lawrence Energy Center and provides electric service to about 669,000 customers.
