Pastoral counselor establishes practice

Mark Stotler, Lawrence, announces the opening of his private practice in pastoral counseling, a service that recognizes the importance of the individual’s spirituality in combination with psychotherapy.

Stotler is a licensed professional counselor in the state of Kansas, and a national certified counselor by the National Board for Certified Counselors. He completed his internship at Catholic Charities’ Outpatient Mental Health Clinic in Frederick, Md., and his practices focuses on anxiety, depression, loss and grief, sexual orientation issues, life transitions and career counseling.

Pastoral counseling is offered to people of all faiths.

Stotler earned a Master of Science degree in pastoral counseling from Loyola College in Maryland. He also serves as associate organist for Trinity Episcopal Church, Lawrence.
