Deadlines upcoming for acreage reports
The Farm Service Agency’s first deadline for filing acreage reports is May 31.
The report is required to keep producers eligible for a variety of agency programs, said Jonathan Alley, county executive director for the agency’s Douglas County office: Price Support Programs, Noninsured Crop Assistance Program (NAP), Conservation Reserve Program (CRP), and Direct and Counter-Cyclical Program.
May 31 is the last date to report wheat, oats and barley, Alley said. The deadline for filing reports of spring-seeded crops and CRP is Aug. 1.
