The Tonganoxie school board hired two new administrators at a special board meeting Monday at Tonganoxie Middle School.

Jill Dickerson, assistant principal at Andover Middle School, was hired as the new middle school principal. And Ty Poel, elementary principal at Eureka, was hired as assistant principal at Tonganoxie Elementary School.

Dickerson will earn $75,000 annually, Tonganoxie Superintendent Richard Erickson said. He said Poel’s exact contract amount still needed to be finalized, but it would be “in the $60,000 range,” Erickson said.

Both will begin work Aug. 1.
