LHS, Free State teams unable to play Monday

Stormy weather and wet field conditions forced the postponement of several Lawrence High and Free State sporting events Monday.

The Lions postponed their final home soccer game of the season against Shawnee Mission Northwest, but likely will make it up Thursday.

The softball team’s home doubleheader versus Shawnee Mission East likely will be played Thursday as well.

The school has not set a make-up date for the postponed baseball game against Shawnee Mission South.

Free State also has not set make-up dates for its baseball game against Olathe Northwest, its boys golf team’s tournament appearance in Leavenworth, or its girls soccer game against Shawnee Mission South.

Also, Free State already has made the decision to postpone today’s softball doubleheader against Olathe South because of wet field conditions.
