City commissioners to confirm appointments
City commissioners are scheduled to confirm two appointments to the Lawrence-Douglas County Planning Commission at tonight’s City Commission meeting.
Mayor Sue Hack has appointed Greg Moore, a Lawrence real estate appraiser with Keller and Associates, and Chuck Blaser, a retired engineer with Ralston-Purina.
Blaser will replace Susan Erickson on the board, which provides recommendations to city and county commissioners on new developments and other planning issues. Moore will replace David Burress.
Both Blaser and Moore will start their terms June 1.
City commissioners will meet at 6:35 p.m. today at City Hall, Sixth and Massachusetts streets.
