Lawrence physician joins Cotton-O’Neil
Cotton-O’Neil ExpressCare, the immediate-care clinic inside the Cotton-O’Neil Clinic in Topeka, welcomes Dr. Jay P. Kennedy, Lawrence, as its third physician.
Kennedy, a former Army Ranger and Special Forces soldier, is a family medicine physician with clinical interests in urgent care, sports medicine and wilderness medicine. He previously was affiliated with the Haskell Health Center, Indian Health Services, in Lawrence. He also served as the sports medicine physician for the Athletic Department at Haskell Indian Nations University.
Kennedy received his medical degree from the University of Minnesota Medical School in 1999, and completed his residency at Rapid City Regional Hospital Family Practice Residency, Rapid City, S.D., in 2002. He is a diplomate of the American Board of Family Medicine.
