About 2 a.m. today, a 24-year-old man was stabbed several times near North Fifth and Locust streets.

The man was taken by ambulance to Lawrence Memorial Hospital for treatment of his injuries, said police, who added that his condition is stable and his injuries do not appear to be life-threatening.
