Leadership Kansas fills 2007 class
Six Lawrence residents have been accepted to enroll in the 2007 class of Leadership Kansas, a program to educate current and future leaders about issues facing business and government in the state.
The chamber selected 40 leaders from across Kansas to participate in the program, including these six who live in Lawrence:
¢ David Corliss, Lawrence city manager.
¢ Peggy Loyd, vice president for customer care at Westar Energy.
¢ Mike Maddox, northeast region president for Intrust Bank and chairman of the Lawrence-Douglas County Economic Development Board.
¢ Roger Pine, an owner of Pine Family Farms and a Republican state senator.
¢ Stanley Rasmussen, regional counsel for the U.S. Army Environmental Center’s Central Regional Environmental Office.
¢ Michele Weigand, vice president of investments and portfolio management for the Kansas Technology Enterprise Corporation, or KTEC.
