Valid questions
To the editor:
Like perhaps many other people, I looked at the fuss about the recent firing of eight federal prosecutors and wondered, what’s the big deal? For myself, I’ve come to the conclusion that a series of misleading and untrue statements to the U.S. Senate, and the appearance that the firings might have been used to squelch current investigations against prominent Republicans, warrants Congress asking a question or two. In addition, I, for one, would like to hear these questions raised in open session and have witnesses sworn to tell the truth.
In a democracy, is this unreasonable?
