March 27, 2007

Social Saga, a Lawrence-based Web site and technology company, won the People's Choice award at the South by Southwest Interactive Festival this month in Austin, Texas.

Social Saga allows Internet users to create and organize video with the goal of fostering a communal experience. The Web site was co-founded by Josh Millstein and Kris Millsap. Millstein created the technology used on the site, and Millsap serves as the media producer. A patent is pending on the technology, Millsap said.

The South by Southwest festival featured four days of keynote speeches, more than 130 panels, the SXSW Web Awards, the iF! Trade Show and Exhibition, and other events.
