Overland Park ? Nick Burkart shot a city-best 80 on Monday as the Free State High boys golf team finished tied for seventh in a 19-team event at the Nicklaus Golf Club at Lionsgate.

Daniel Selk (81), Allen Burkart (81) and Austin Wright (83) rounded out a balanced effort for the Firebirds, completing a team score of 325.

Cameron Hartford shot a 102 to lead Lawrence High, which finished 19th.

Host Blue Valley West won the event with a 306 team score.
