Child care during workshop needed

The Success by 6 Coalition of Lawrence seeks volunteers to assist with child care on behalf of parents attending the Parenting with Love and Logic workshop. Several volunteers are needed to care for children from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday mornings, from April 7 to May 12. Training will be provided.

Immediate volunteer needs

¢ Lawrence Habitat for Humanity seeks a volunteer receptionist to assist with basic office duties such as greeting guests, answering phones and filing. For more information or to volunteer, contact Gwen Klingenberg at 832-0777.

¢ Families Together Inc. seeks volunteers to assist with its annual Lawrence Family Enrichment Weekend from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday. While parents are in workshops, the kids will enjoy a “Survivor”-themed party. Volunteers will ensure that the children have access to all activities in a safe, fun environment. ¢ Lawrence after-school programs are seeking volunteers for several elementary schools to tutor students or assist with homework. Hours for the after-school programs are 3 p.m. to 5:45 p.m. Monday through Friday. Contact Sandee Crowther at scrowthe@usd497.org for a volunteer application.
