The Kansas Department of Transportation and the Kansas Contractors Association have started a new training program designed to enhance the opportunities of Kansas construction workers and to serve the state’s transportation needs.

The program aims to give construction workers the additional skills needed for career advancement, increase the construction industry’s retention rates and attract new workers.

One of the program’s priorities will be to increase the number of women and minority workers participating in the courses.
