Midland Hospice Care will have its 11th annual “Celebration Walk” on May 11 in Topeka.

The event begins at 6:30 p.m. on the Midland Hospice grounds, 200 SW Frazier Circle in Topeka. The Celebration Walk will take place on a paved, mile-long walkway with complete handicapped accessibility. The walkway will be lined with luminarias and will include food, music and entertainment.

The walk will benefit Midland Hospice Care, which has offices in Lawrence and Ottawa. The not-for-profit hospice offers care to patients regardless of inability to pay. Within its 20-county service area, Midland Hospice Care extends its mission “to enhance life’s journey by offering care and education with respect, dignity and hope.”

The goal of the “Celebration Walk” is to raise $110,000 for Midland Hospice Care.
