Music about Kansas history debuts today

A variety of music that tells the tale of Kansas will debut at 2 p.m. today at the Kansas Museum of History in Topeka.

Included in the music, called “Prairie Glimpses,” is a song about a boy who is witnessing Quantrill’s raid on Lawrence, which resulted in the burning of the town.

Cally Krallman and Diane Gillenwater wrote the lyrics and composed the music for the series of songs.

An autograph session will accompany the event.

A CD with all the music will sell for $15. More information is available at www.kshs.org.
