Driver’s condition fair after accident on I-70

A 49-year-old Lawrence woman was in fair condition Friday evening at Kansas University Medical Center after a one-car accident on the Kansas Turnpike.

Christina L. Krogh was driving east on Interstate 70 when her car began to drift off the road.

When she tried to steer the car back on the road, Krogh overcorrected and drove the car off the roadway into a ditch where the vehicle overturned, according to a Kansas Turnpike Authority crash report.

The accident occurred shortly after 1 p.m. Friday about two miles east of the Topeka service station, or about 10 miles west of Lawrence.

Krogh, with back injuries, was taken to KUMC by helicopter.

She was wearing a seat belt, according to the accident report.
