Kansas Public Radio’s Bryan Thompson will be among 50 journalists and editors to participate in a medical reporting seminar April 12-14 at the National Institutes of Health, in Bethesda, Md.

The course, “Medicine in the Media: The Challenge of Reporting on Medical Research,” will cover topics including “Understanding Randomized Clinical Trials,” “Communicating Risk” and “Cancer Screening: The Clash of Science and Intuition.”
