Sixth-grader would like Big Brother

Jacob, a sixth-grader in Lawrence, is waiting for a Big Brother through the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Douglas County program.

He enjoys swimming, football, bowling and doing homework. Jacob also likes working on cars and going to car shows. When he grows up, he wants to be like Tony Gonzalez, and if he could change something about himself, he would make himself faster and a better tackler.

Jacob wants his new Big Brother to know that he would like to learn how to play tennis and baseball. Consider becoming a friend and mentor to Jacob by volunteering as a Big Brother. For more information about the program, call 843-7359 or attend an informational meeting at 5:15 p.m. Tuesdays or noon Wednesdays at 1525 W. Sixth St., Suite A.
