Lawrence Police are searching for a young man connected to an aggravated robbery that occurred about 2 p.m. Saturday at a Conoco convenience store at 23rd and Haskell streets.

Sgt. Bill Cory said officers responded at 2:09 p.m. to the store. Cory said a white male wearing a black hooded sweatshirt or jacket entered the store, brandished what appeared to be a black-and-silver handgun and asked for money. The man, estimated to be about 16 to 20 years old, took an undisclosed amount of money and fled on foot, heading southwest.

Police later found discarded clothing and other items nearby.
