The American Legion’s annual pancake feed, which took place Saturday, raised about $6,800, said Ron Goodwin, who helped organize the event.

“It did really well,” Goodwin said.

Goodwin said attendance was down slightly from last year, which he attributed to the late-morning Kansas University men’s basketball game.

The event lasted from 7 a.m. until 2 p.m.

The Legion fed about 870 paying customers, not including workers, Goodwin said. The event cost $6 for adults and $3 for children.

Goodwin said the Legion would donate about $5,500 to the Lawrence Amateur Baseball Association.
