Kate Eichten has joined the Lawrence Convention and Visitors Bureau as conventions marketing manager.

Eichten is a Kansas native and Kansas University graduate with degrees in communication studies and journalism. She previously worked at Junior Achievement, where she was program manager and worked in fundraising and volunteer placement.

As conventions marketing manager, Eichten will work with state and regional associations to bring business meetings to Lawrence. She also will work closely with hotels in her new role. Eichten can be reached at 865-4483 or meetings2@visitlawrence.com.
