Officers identified Jim Lewis, 63, Olathe, as the man injured in a motorcycle accident Sunday on Clinton Parkway in west Lawrence.

Lawrence police spokesman Sgt. Paul Fellers said Lewis was flown by helicopter ambulance to the Kansas University Hospital in Kansas City, Kan. A condition report was unavailable, hospital spokesman Bob Hallinan said Monday evening.

According to the accident report, Lewis was driving east on Clinton Parkway at 5:40 p.m. when he approached the roundabout at Lake Point Drive. Lewis then applied the rear brake and the front wheel of the motorcycle struck the south curb, which caused the motorcycle to tip over.

Witnesses said Lewis, who was wearing a helmet, fell to the pavement.
