Fire damages house south of Eudora

No injuries reported

A fire early this morning destroyed a pickup truck and damaged a house south of Eudora, according to the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office. No one was injured.

The fire was reported about 3:30 a.m. after it was seen by someone passing by the residence at 1110 E. 2200 Road, a sheriff’s report said. The fire is thought to have started in the truck, a Ford F-150, and then spread to the house. The cause of the fire is under investigation.

Total damage and losses was listed at $19,000. Fire departments responding were from Eudora Township, Eudora city and Wakarusa Township.

No other details were available this morning.
