Robbin Loomas, of Sterling Image Photography in Lawrence, earned a Bronze Level Photographer of the Year Award from Professional Photographers of America during the organization’s annual convention in January in San Antonio, Texas.

The awards encourage photographers to improve their artistic and technical skills and to demonstrate their talent through competition, plus recognize their best work.

An association member earns the award by placing all four images included in the photographer’s print case in the association’s General Collections. In 2006, Loomas was one of 67 Bronze Level Photographers of the Year.

The international association has 16,000 members.
