The city's Traffic Safety Commission will consider making changes to the speed limit near 15th Street and Engel Road at its monthly meeting Monday.

Commissioners have been asked to review the reduced school speed zone near the 15th and Engel intersection to determine whether it is appropriate.

The meeting is set for 7:30 p.m. Monday at City Hall, Sixth and Massachusetts streets.

Other items on the agenda:

¢ A request to improve safety at the recreational path crossing at Sawgrass Drive.

¢ A request to establish no parking along the west side of Tennessee Street adjacent to 21st Street.

¢ A request to establish no parking along the west side of Oak Tree Drive adjacent to the school crosswalk at Vantuyl Drive.

The Traffic Safety Commission is an advisory board, meaning that its recommendations ultimately are sent to the City Commission for final action.

So the limit is reduced. Then what? Enforcement how?

That big ass house the catholic church owns should have been torn down and the whole intersection realigned years ago.
