A Lawrence resident has opened a business that provides services for truck drivers.

Jack Milligan’s business, Higher Roads, The Center for Business Advancement, works with independent truckers to assist them with financial services, support and training.

Milligan’s experience spans more than 30 years and includes lobbying, fundraising, sales and leadership positions with Kansas Motor Carrier Association, the American Trucking Associations, the National Association of Independent Truckers and the Truckload Carriers Association.

He is a founding partner of The Alliance of Independent Trucking Professionals, a predecessor group that offered business, tax and bookkeeping services for truckers.
