2 more teens arrested after vandalism spree

Two teenagers were arrested by Lawrence police Wednesday in connection with a vehicle vandalism spree this week.

An 18-year-old was taken to Douglas County Jail after he was picked up by police about 5 p.m. Wednesday. Also, a 16-year-old boy was arrested that day in connection with the case.

Police released the arrest information Thursday.

The 18-year-old was released shortly after midnight Thursday without charges being filed.

Three other teenage boys were arrested by police early Wednesday morning after police began receiving reports of vehicles being shot at by BB guns.

They were taken to the Douglas County Juvenile Detention Center. No other information was available about the teenage suspects Thursday.

At least 24 criminal damage reports were filed with police.
