Pollution issue

To the editor:

I have enjoyed walks around Mary’s Lake for years.

The construction and development on the hillside is creating pollution in the lake. A large culvert is collecting mud and rainwater runoff and directing the flow directly into the lake. Was there an environmental impact study made or just a good ol’ boy agreement?

When lawn insecticides and urban pollutants enter the lake, it will poison the fish, wildlife and possibly the people who eat the fish. I would hope someone looks into this coming problem.
