Lawyer appointed to state committee

Lawrence lawyer Mark Andersen has been appointed to the Kansas Bar Association’s executive committee for the real estate, probate and trust law section.

The section plans and promotes legal education programs, supports and recommends legislation, and provides networking opportunities for real estate, probate and trust law lawyers.

Andersen serves as the association’s liaison to the Kansas Electronic Recording Commission, which is responsible for developing and adopting uniform standards for the recording and enforcement of electronic real estate documents.

Andersen is a partner in the Barber Emerson law firm, Lawrence, and is a fellow of the American College of Real Estate Attorneys, a member of the American Land Title Association, a member of the Kansas Society of Farm Managers and Rural Appraisers, and is admitted to the practice of law in both Kansas and Missouri.
