New meeting schedule begins in August
City commissioners informally agreed Tuesday to change their normal meeting schedule, beginning in August.
Commissioners agreed that on the third Tuesday of each month they no longer would meet at night. Instead, they will meet at 9 a.m. on the third Thursday of the month to conduct routine business and receive project updates from staff members. The new schedule will begin in August.
Mayor Sue Hack asked commissioners to try the new meeting schedule for three to four months. She said she hoped it would improve efficiency of city government.
