The Kansas Association of Baseball Coaches tabbed five city high school players as Kansas Class 6A All-State athletes – all of them on the second team.

Free State High placed three members on the team with E.J. Swanson at closer, Andy Petz shared the second-team catcher award and third baseman John Wilson shared the position.

Lawrence High’s Nick DeBiasse earned second-team honors at first base, and Daniel Parker split the shortstop position.
