Two men, one of them carrying a baseball bat, entered a Lawrence apartment early Saturday and attacked four people, according to a police report.

A 20-year-old man in the apartment was struck on the left shin by the man with the bat while a second suspect struck him in the chest with a chair, police were told. The victim did not seek medical treatment.

Some of the people in the apartment in the 200 block of Bristol Terrace ran outside after the suspects entered through a sliding door. The suspects left after breaking a glass table.

The incident was reported at 3:36 a.m.

The suspects were described as men in their early 20s. One was a 6-foot white man weighing 230 pounds who was bald. The other suspect was described as a 6-foot black man who weighs about 190 pounds.
