Here’s an opportunity to help the less fortunate beat the heat this summer.

6News is teaming with Westlake Ace Hardware to provide fans that the Lawrence Salvation Army will distribute to people without air conditioning.

Fan Day is set for 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. today at both Westlake locations: 711 W. 23rd St. and 601 Kasold Drive.

6News staff will be on hand accepting new fans or donations – and handing out refreshments.
