With plans for a new Wal-Mart moving forward again, activity is picking up on another major development proposal at the northwest Lawrence intersection. The Bauer Farm development, a mix of about 220 homes and apartments along with a retail area, located on the northeast corner of 6th and Wakarusa, has been billed as the city’s first significant foray into the concept o new urbanism.
