Dental clinic to give away toothbrushes
Douglas County Dental Clinic will give away free toothbrushes and oral health information today at Checkers Foods, 2300 La.
Between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m., clinic staff will hand out “goody bags” to the first 50 children who come to the clinic’s table. The bags will contain toothbrushes, toothpaste, floss and a timer.
Kansas HealthWave applications also will be available.
The clinic, 316 Maine, serves Douglas County residents who are uninsured and meet federal poverty guidelines. Fees are set on a sliding scale based on income. It also accepts Kansas Medicaid for children up to age 18.
