Student resource

To the editor:

Reporter Matt Erickson neglected to mention one of the best FREE resources available to students and parents in his July 19 article, “Extra help available for kids who need it”: Homework Kansas, www.homeworkkansas.org.

The State Library of Kansas provides this resource available every day at no charge. We are very proud of being able to offer educational assistance to support Kansas students.

It is targeted at grades 4-12 and college intro, is open 4 p.m. to 11 p.m. every day and covers math, science, English and social studies.

Students connect one-on-one with live tutors over the Internet to get individual help. If students don’t have a computer or an Internet connection at home, Kansas public libraries provide this service free.
