Douglas County Connection, a networking organization, announces the election of officers: Denise Van Sickel, of Lawrence Pet Friends, as president; and Bryan Culver, of Peoples Bank, as treasurer.

The organization promotes member businesses through structured networking by encouraging high-quality and reliable referrals.

The group meets at 7 a.m. Wednesdays at First Southern Baptist Church, 4300 W. Sixth St.
