To the editor:

Am I the only person in Lawrence that finds a local furniture store’s commercials highly offensive? I can’t believe that they would be so bold as to openly mock people with disabilities. I have always thought of Lawrence as a very progressive city, but their commercials are anything but. You’d think that they could find a better idea for their commercials than poking fun at people with disabilities.

I can promise you that the next time I am in need of any furniture, they will NOT get my business, unless they shape up and change their commercials. I urge other Lawrencians to do the same and show them that we are not a city that will tolerate anything they think is funny. News flash: It’s not.
