Salvation Army lists most-needed supplies

Greensburg residents need bleach, laundry, dish soap and cleaning supplies the most, according to a Salvation Army list for the city that was ravaged by a tornado May 4.

People who wish to donate anything for Greensburg residents can contact the Lawrence Salvation Army office at 843-4188.

Other items on the Salvation Army’s list include toilet paper and paper towels, buckets, cleaning rags, canned fruits and vegetables, canned meats, soup, fabric softener, flashlights, and medical supplies, including bandages, gauze, ointments, Q-tips and medical tape. In addition, these items are needed: over-the-counter drugs, including Aspirin, acetaminophen and ibuprofen; juice, sports drinks and soda; insect repellent; wastebaskets; fans; pots and pans; dishes and eating utensils; bedding; towels and pillows; mops; coffee; sugar; boxed meals; cereal; furniture; and kitchen appliances.
