KDOT begins sealing cracks on K-10

The Kansas Department of Transportation began sealing cracks this week on Kansas Highway 10 east of Lawrence.

The operation will continue for about a month as crews work on all eastbound and westbound lanes to the Johnson County line, a KDOT spokesman said. Motorists may find areas where the highway has one lane shut down during the work. Crews began the job Monday.

The maintenance is being done to keep water from seeping into pavement cracks, KDOT said.
