Relevant facts
To the editor:
I was saddened and surprised that neither the Rev. Joanna Harader nor the Rev. Alan Estby chose to include any factual information about Jesus’ appearance in their essays (Journal-World, June 30). Jesus, the man, was Palestinian, and thus almost certainly dark-haired and dark-skinned. I can’t help but think that if historical evidence suggested that Jesus had been a blue-eyed Caucasian man, this would have been considered relevant.
