The leisure pool will be closed Friday through July 8.

The Outdoor Aquatic Center, 727 Ky., will be available for public swimming from 1 p.m. to 8:45 p.m. Monday through Friday. For lap swimmers, the pool will be available to the public from 10 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. Monday through Friday, and a special session has been scheduled from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday.

The meet, formally called the Roger Hill/Lawrence Aquahawk Swim Meet, is expected to bring more than 750 swimmers and about 1,700 spectators to Lawrence. It is the largest youth competitive swim meet in the Missouri Valley region.
