KU Hospital receives national recognition
Kansas University Hospital’s Primary Stroke Center in Kansas City, Kan., has received the Annual Performance Achievement Award for stroke care from the American Heart Association.
The honor makes KU Hospital the first Annual Achievement Hospital for Stroke in a six-state region.
The hospital demonstrated at least 85 percent compliance in seven key performance measures and sustained it for 12 consecutive months.
The AHA will have a celebration for the Primary Stroke Center, and the hospital’s designation will be reported in an upcoming issue of U.S. News and World Report.
