Joe’s Bakery now delivers doughnuts

Joe’s Bakery does more than bake 200 dozen doughnuts a day.

Co-owner Ron Hall now delivers some of them, too.

“I’ve had people call me up on the phone, and ask if I could deliver something,” Hall said. “I figure there must be others.”

The service – Joe’s Delivery – starts today, with minimum orders of a dozen doughnuts. Each individual item comes with a 25-cent delivery fee.

It’s a task Hall actually has been handling for wholesale clients since Hall and his wife, Rebecca, helped reopen the bakery in August at 616 W. Ninth St. Among the bigger customers: Hallmark Cards Inc., Amarr Garage Doors and residence halls at Kansas University.

Now he’s going retail.

The service is available from 6 a.m. to 2 a.m.
