Health Department welcomes director
Daniel Partridge started work earlier this month as director of the Lawrence-Douglas County Health Department.
Partridge comes to the job after 15 years at the Reno County Health Department in Hutchinson, where he spent the past four years as administrative support supervisor and was responsible for employees working in administration, accounting, child-care licensing, tobacco prevention and environmental health.
He previously served as the department’s environmental health supervisor.
Partridge is scheduled to complete his Master of Public Health degree from the Kansas University School of Medicine-Wichita in May. He is a 2004 graduate of the Kansas Public Health Leadership Institute, and a 2002 Graduate of the Kansas University Public Management Center Public Health Certification program.
He earned two undergraduate degrees from Kansas State University: a dual degree in fisheries biology and chemical science, and a degree in milling science and management. He is a registered sanitarian.
