Leadership Kansas, the leadership growth program of the Kansas Chamber of Commerce, is accepting nominations until Feb. 2 for its 2007 class.

The program - designed for current and future Kansas leaders - is billed as offering first-hand exposure to the critical issues facing Kansas businesses and government.

Leadership Kansas is a non-profit leadership growth program financed by tuition and fees and sponsored by The Kansas Chamber of Commerce.

Participants are selected based on leadership contributions in their professions and communities and their willingness to contribute to Kansas' future progress. Participation is open to all Kansas residents.

Interesting - When this program was actually a part of, and coordinated by the Kansas Chamber, they had so many applicants they had to turn people away - put them on waiting lists. Now that it is contracted out to an outside operator, they are having to issue press releases just to get people involved in the program. Wonder what happened? Did it suffer a credibility problem?
